 Teachers in Love Series FAQ

With the exciting news about the Teachers in Love series being picked up for traditional publishing, I know there are many questions. You should find answers to the most common ones here.

Q: Will there be a difference between the paperbacks of the Teachers in Love series releasing from Forever and the self-published editions?

A: Yes and no. The insides of the book will mostly be the same as the previous versions. However, Forever is including a bonus epilogue in the first three books and character artwork in the front/back along with new character chapter headings in Teacher of the Year.

Q: Will the self-published paperback editions of Teachers in Love series be available for purchase online?

A: The self-published editions will no longer be for purchase as of February 15, 2025. Any of these you might see at online retailers and my website will just be the remaining stock, but those will be the last of them. There will not be a self-published version of Husband of the Year.

Q: Will your eBooks and audiobooks still be available?

A: You bet. Those aren’t going anywhere. Both formats in the first three books of the Teachers in Love series are available now. In addition, the first three books are also available in Kindle Unlimited.

Q: Why did my pre-order for Husband of the Year get canceled?

A: Unfortunately, Amazon doesn’t have a way to transfer all those pre-orders over from my indie account to the publisher, so they had to be canceled. Preorder links will be up for Husband of the Year in early March. (I've got some preorder surprises planned too!)

Q: When is Husband of the Year releasing?

A: *Cringes* Due to the logistics and constraints of printing and distribution, the release of Husband of the Year will be pushed back just a wee bit to November 18, 2025. I know you’re waiting, and I thank you so much for waiting just a smidge longer. But the good news is book four will come out this year, so you won’t have to wait long for the series to be complete—overall, the timeline isn’t that different from what I had originally planned. I appreciate your patience and understanding, and I’m so thrilled you’re all so eager for Marvin and Olan’s wedding!

Q: Will there be signed copies of the new versions and Husband of the Year available for preorder?

A: Great question. Some things are in the works, and I'll share the details soon!

Q: Where can I buy the new paperbacks? What about the ebook and audiobook?

A: Paperbacks of the series will be available in-store and online at major book retailers such as Barnes and Noble and indie bookstores across North America. In the UK, you’ll find them at Waterstones, Blackwell’s, WH Smith, and more. The ebooks, audiobooks, and paperbacks are available at any major online book retailer, including Amazon, Kobo, Apple, and Google.

Q: What about the current special editions?

A: At this time, the spicy editions sold on my website will not be reprinted. When the limited stock I have sells out, that will be it. The same goes for the Steamy Lit editions.

Q: Will you go on a book tour?

A: Not at this time; however, stay tuned! We’ll be polling readers on the ideal places to stop, so keep an eye out for that.  If you’d like to meet me, I’m confirmed to attend Queers and Quills in May 2025, RomantiConn in Trumbull, CT, in July 2025, and Book Harvest in Chicago in October 2025. (There may be some others, too. Check back on my website.)

Q: Why did you decide to team up with a traditional publisher?

A: I love indie publishing, and that hasn’t changed. As a hybrid author, I’ll continue to self-publish books like my series with AJ Truman and the Rainbow Ranch series coming this summer. Working with big publishers gives my books the visibility I’ve always wanted. My hope has always been to help champion more queer love stories. I feel fortunate to work with Forever and their amazing team. This opportunity will allow me to keep sharing queer books for many years to come.

Q: What does your upcoming publishing schedule look like?

A: With reissues and three new titles, 2025 looks to be a busy year for me.
